Dallas Mavericks Luka Doncic is one of the most talented young players of the NBA. Doncic has shown the skills to go a long way in his career and he has thus far ticked the right boxes. The 22-year-old from Slovenia has already made a plethora of records and he is always hungry for more.
Doncic is playing his third season in the NBA and he has impressed one and all with his skills. The youngster also played a key role in helping Dallas Mavericks finish at the fifth position in the Western Conference with a 42-30 record.
Meanwhile, Doncic has been at his best in the ongoing playoff and he has carried the team on his shoulders. The prodigy player scored 31 points in the opening game of the first conference round against the LA Clippers to take his team to a 112-103 win. Subsequently, he continued his sublime form as he scored 39 points to get his team over the line by 127-121.
Doncic continued his beast mode as he scored 44 points in the third game of the series but his efforts went in vain as Mavericks lost by 118-108.
There were question marks on Doncic’s availability for the fourth game as he was suffering from niggles. However, he decided to play and former LA Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal was all impressed by the youngster and lauded his commitment for the team.
In a recent appearance of NBA on TNT Shaquille O’Neal said, “As a fan, I know Luka, injuries and banged up and hurt. We appreciate you’re playing.”
Doncic scored 19 points in the fourth game but the Mavericks lost by a big margin of 106-81. Thus, the series is currently tied at 2-2 and the fifth game will be played on Wednesday night.
