Team LeBron was just too good for Team Durant in the All-star game as the Men in Yellow defeated the Men in Blue by 170-150. The two-time reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was at his best as he top-scored for Team LeBron with 35 points, converting 16-16 field goals.
Apart from the Greek Freak, it was Steph Curry and Damian Lillard who did the bulk of the damage against Team Durant. Curry, who is regarded as one of the best shooters in the game, scored 28 points, including six three-pointers in the first half.
Lillard was also at his best as he scored 32 points for Team LeBron. In fact, before the All-star game, NBA analyst Skip Bayless had questioned Curry’s position in Team LeBron as his shooting percentage has dropped from 43 to 41 in this season.
However, Curry justified why he is still the best in the business as he played at the top of his game. Curry had a 50% three-point accuracy and there was no stopping him. Furthermore, Lillard was able to convert eight out of his 16 attempts at three-pointers. Thus, both Curry and Lillard went on to put up a great show for Team LeBron.
“That was the greatest display of distance shooting we’ve ever seen,” Skip Bayless expressed on his Fox Sports program.
“Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, are by far the two greatest distance shooters this league has ever seen. But why is that? Because they dare to be, because they can be,” Bayless mentioned.
Not only Bayless but also all the NBA fans were awestruck by the performance of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Steph Curry.
On the other hand, Bradley Beal top-scored with 26 points for Team Durant but his efforts went in vain as they lost by a margin of 20 points.
