Bangladesh vs India, 1st ODI – Dafanews Match Preview

Bangladesh will lock horns against India in the first ODI on Sunday and the series will be a perfect audition platform for many young players for the next year’s World Cup. India lost their recent series against the Kiwis but the big names will return back to the squad to make a difference.

India would want to make the most of the opportunity of playing in the sub-continent conditions as the countdown to the next year’s World Cup has already begun. The Men in Blue have been in decent form and they would want to tick the desired boxes against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh had lost their previous ODI series against Zimbabwe and they would want to come up with a collective show. However, the Tigers received a big blow before the series as their skipper Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out with a groin injury while Taskin Ahmed has been ruled out from the first game. The hosts are yet to name a new skipper.

India clearly holds a big advantage in the head-to-head battle.

Players to look out for: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Washington Sundar, Deepak Chahar, and Mohammed Shami will be the key players for India.

Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim will be the important players for Bangladesh.
