Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has rated Hardik Pandya as the most matured captain among the younger players. Pandya recently led Gujarat Titans to glory in the recently concluded Tata IPL 2022 as he led with aplomb to get the best out of his players.
Pandya also led from the front as he mustered 487 runs in 15 matches at an impressive average of 44.27 and scored his runs at a strike rate of 131.27 in Tata IPL 2022 and thus played a huge role in the success of his team.
Pandya is currently performing the role of vice-captain in the ongoing T20I series against South Africa. Furthermore, he has been named as the team’s captain for the two T20Is against Ireland, which will take place later in the month.
Pandya has shown maturity in his leadership and he has shown the skills to lead in future. Meanwhile, Indian selectors has also given leadership responsibilities to players like KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant.
“Rise and rise of Hardik Pandya. Even though he’s captained only one seasonI feel that he’s the most mature captain amongst the younger lot of contenders. Here’s wishing him all the very best for the first assignment for Team India, ” Aakash Chopra said exclusively on the Koo app.
Hardik Pandya will look to give his best in the T20I series against Ireland as a leader and deliver the goods. Pandya has been in good form with the bat and he will look to bring his best to the table for the national team.
The all-rounder has returned to the national team after a long time and he will aim to grab his opportunities with both hands.
