India vs England 2024, 5th Test – Stats Preview

India will square off against England at the picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala in the fifth Test match from Thursday onwards. India has already bagged the series but both the teams will have everything to play with crucial Test Championship points on offer.

England veteran batters like Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes have failed to deliver the goods and they will aim to get the job done in the final Test.

On the other hand, India’s youngsters have grabbed their opportunities with both hands, barring Rajat Patidar, who has managed only 63 runs in the tournament.

Jonny Bairstow and Ravichandran Ashwin will play their 100th Test match.

England skipper Ben Stokes, who is all set to resume bowling duties, needs three more wickets to complete 200 Test wickets.

Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal requires 29 runs to complete 1000 runs in the red-ball version.

Ravindra Jadeja needs eight wickets to complete 300 wickets.

Kuldeep Yadav, who made his Test debut against Dharamsala, needs four more wickets to reach the landmark of 50 wickets.

England’s ace bowler James Anderson requires two more wickets to become the first fast bowler to reach the mountain of 700 wickets. Anderson will become the third bowler after Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne to breach the landmark.

Jonny Bairstow requires 26 runs to complete 6000 runs in the oldest format.

Ben Duckett needs 65 runs to reach the 1500-run mark in Test format.
