Sunrisers Hyderabad will lock horns against Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier of IPL 2024 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Friday. Hyderabad was completely dominated by KKR in the first qualifier as they were skittled out for a paltry score of 159.
Ergo, the Orange Army needs to come up with a better batting performance. Their openers – Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head – were dismissed cheaply and their early wickets did put them under pressure. The two left-handers have been in amazing form and they are going to hold the key for SRH.
Furthermore, SRH’s bowling was taken apart as KKR chased down the target with 38 balls to spare. SRH has adopted an aggressive style of play and they will look to bring their best against the inaugural champions.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals came up with a fine bowling show in the Eliminator against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RR was able to restrict RCB to 172-8 as Ravichandran Ashwin and Avesh Khan bagged two and three wickets respectively after a fine opening spell from Trent Boult.
RR had lost four matches on the trot before the Eliminator but the win against RCB must have given them a lot of confidence.
Match Prediction: Rajasthan Royals will enter the contest as favorites against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
