Reflecting on his aspirations, Rossouw mentioned, “I did well with the Knights team in the American League. So it would be nice if it would be a little bit of a bidding war. I mean, that would be ideal for myself.” He emphasized his determination to excel, stating, “At the end of the day, doesn’t matter who I play for. I want to do well for whichever franchise I’m picked.”
Rossouw, who played for Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket’s inaugural season, generated an impact with a stunning 38-ball 78 not out against Seattle Orcas, illustrating his prowess on the global stage.
Comparing the IPL with other leagues, Rossouw highlighted the grandeur of the Indian league, describing it as an extravagant spectacle. He noted, “IPL does everything on a bigger canvas. Everything’s bigger and better there as they say.” Commending the league’s fan engagement and consistent growth over its history, he deemed it among the premier cricket tournaments globally.
Amidst his participation in the Abu Dhabi T10 League for Delhi Bulls, Rossouw acknowledged the challenging pitches this season, making run-scoring a formidable task. Despite a tough campaign, he expressed eagerness to perform, emphasizing his commitment to showcasing his best, irrespective of the league or team.
“I’ve been in touch with the coach and I’m still in his ideas, whether I play in the leagues or not. So without thinking much, I just want to perform and do well wherever and whatever the changes I might get,” Rossouw affirmed.
He emphasized his dedication to performance, acknowledging the selectors’ role in curating the best South African team for international matches.
