South Africa vs India, 2nd ODI – Dafanews Match Preview

South Africa will aim to stay alive in the series when they take on India in the second ODI at St. George Park, Gqeberha on Tuesday. The Proteas were hammered by eight wickets in the opening game of the series as they were skittled out for only 116 runs.

In fact, India had also beaten South Africa by a mammoth margin of 243 runs in the World Cup and thus the last two matches between these two teams have been one-sided. We look at the current form, head-to-head, players to look out for, and squads of both teams in our match preview.

Current form for South Africa: L L W L W

South Africa would have been utterly disappointed with their mundane batting performance as they could not show any stomach for a fight in the opening game. Ergo, they would want to turn the tables and come up with a more collective batting show.

Current form for India: W L W W W

India was able to come up with a collective show as they delivered a resounding performance in the first game. Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan were able to deliver with the ball as they bagged five and four wickets respectively.
