India will take on England in the second semi-final of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday. The Men in Blue had topped their Group in the Super 12 stage after winning four out of their five matches.
England, on the other hand, had won three games, with one of their matches getting abandoned due to rain.
India were at their best except for the match against South Africa, which they lost by five wickets. KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav have been at their best while the form of Rohit Sharma remains a concern. Furthermore, Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami have done a fine job for the team.
It will be interesting to note if India will play Rishabh Pant in the final XI ahead of Dinesh Karthik, who hasn’t fired at all cylinders.
Meanwhile, Dawid Malan is doubtful for England due to a groin injury and if he is ruled out then it will be a major blow for the team. However, England has come up with a collective show, with their top order doing the bulk of the scoring.
Mark Wood has bowled with sheer pace while Sam Curran has been right on the money as he has scalped 10 wickets in five matches.
Match Prediction: India will start as favorites against England but they will need to play at their best.
