Afghanistan will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign against Uganda at the Providence Stadium, Guyana on Tuesday. The Afghan team has all the experience at the T20 level and they will look to make the most of it.
Afghanistan had won four out of their nine matches in the ODI World Cup 2023 and they will look to replicate the same show. In fact, legendary Brian Lara picked Afghanistan to make it to the semifinals of the T20I showpiece and when such a big player backs a team, the expectations always rise.
Rashid Khan, the Afghanistan captain, has proved his mettle in the best T20 leagues across the globe and he will look to get the best out of his players as a leader.
For Uganda, it will be about playing without any pressure and enjoying themselves on the field. There shouldn’t be any fear of failure for Cricket Cranes as they have already made themselves proud by qualifying for the big event.
