India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the 19th match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York on Sunday. There is always a lot of buzz when these two powerhouses meet on the big stage, and this time it’s no different.
Both of them played a humdinger contest when India defeated Pakistan at the MCG in the 2022 edition with Virat Kohli playing one of his best T20I knocks. India has had its wood on Pakistan in World Cup matches and they will look to continue their supremacy against the neighbors.
Meanwhile, India registered a thumping eight-wicket win against Ireland in their opening match of the tournament. They came up with a brilliant bowling performance as they skittled out the Irish team for a paltry score of 96. The likes of Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya were right on the money for the Rohit Sharma-led team.
However, India might look to add Kuldeep Yadav to their playing XI as he certainly can make a lot of difference in the middle overs.
On the other hand, Pakistan was stunned by the USA in their opening match on Thursday. Pakistan was timid in all three departments of the game against the hosts and had to pay the price. The Babar Azam-led team will definitely need to lift their game against a formidable Indian unit.
