India will lock horns against USA in the 25th match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York on Wednesday. This will be a group-toppers clash as both of these teams have won both their games.
The Rohit Sharma-led team was able to snatch a win from the jaws of defeat in their last game against arch-rivals Pakistan. India was able to successfully defend a below par score of 119 as their bowlers came up with a terrific performance. Jasprit Bumrah, the pack leader, returned with impressive figures of 3-14 in his quota of four overs.
Bumrah kept his patience and didn’t go searching for magic deliveries, which helped him reap rewards. Furthermore, Rishabh Pant scored a crucial knock of 42 and he was also brilliant behind the stumps as he took crucial catches.
However, India needs to come up with a better batting show as they have all the experience under their belt. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya needs to deliver consistent performances.
On the other hand, the USA was able to stun Pakistan in the Super Over contest. Monank Patel, the USA skipper, scored a fine century whereas Saurabh Netravalkar was able to keep his calm in the Super Over as he defended 18 runs.
Match Prediction: India will definitely enter the contest as favorites against the USA.
