The United States will lock horns against South Africa in the 41st match of the ongoing T20 World Cup at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua on Wednesday. The USA have already punched above their weight in the ongoing T20I showpiece and any win from here will be a bonus.
The hosts were able to stun Pakistan in the Super Over contest and also played well against India. The likes of Monank Patel, Aaron Jones, Andries Gous, and Saurabh Netravalkar have performed consistently for the States and they will want to continue the good show against the Proteas.
USA will be proud of their performance so far and they will be determined to challenge South Africa.
On the other hand, South Africa won all of their four matches in the group stage. However, they registered close wins against the Netherlands and Nepal and they will want to be more clinical against the USA, who have shown that they can surprise the big teams.
The Proteas bowlers have been right on the money in the tournament but their batters need to come up with a better show. The top order hasn’t yet delivered the goods for the Aiden Markram-led team and will want to turn the tables.
Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi will hold the key for the Rainbow Nation as the pitches will assist the spinners.
