India’s young forward Ishan Pandita has shown the skills to go a long way in his career. Pandita has impressed in his young career and he could definitely achieve great success for the national team. The youngster has done a fantastic job while coming as a substitute in the Hero ISL while playing for Jamshedpur FC.
The 24-year-old from Delhi is rising through the ranks and he has been ticking the right boxes in his career. Pandita has also cherished the opportunity to play alongside the veteran Sunil Chhetri and revealed that the Indian captain is always there for him whenever he has doubts.
Ishan Pandita said while talking to Sportskeeda, “He is a great footballer who has achieved incredible things in football. I am trying my best to utilize the opportunity of sharing the dressing room with a man like him. He is always there to help – whenever I have any doubts, I ask him.”
Meanwhile, Pandita recently scored his maiden goal for the Blue Tigers as he found the back of the net against Hong Kong in the AFC Asia Cup qualifiers.
Pandita said, “It was a fantastic experience. Scoring goals for your country in front of such a huge crowd is a special moment.”
The youngster is currently training under the tutelage of Jamshedpur FC head coach, Aidy Boothroyd.
Pandita said of the English coach, “He is a very good coach and a fantastic human. We have only been training for two weeks but so far it has been an amazing experience.”
Meanwhile, earlier Ishan Pandita extended his stay with the club ahead of the upcoming ninth season of the Hero Indian Super League. The youngster will stay at the Furnace for another season.
ISL 2021-22 League shield champions Jamshedpur FC will begin their tournament campaign against Odisha FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur on the 11th of October.
