FC Goa has signed the services of Dylan Fox ahead of the eighth season of the Hero Indian Super League, the club announced on Tuesday. Fox has inked one year contract with the Gaurs as he makes a move from NorthEast United.
The Australian defender is thrilled to join hands with FC Goa and he was intrigued by the style of team’s football in the previous season.
Speaking to fcgoa.in, Fox said: “I am thrilled at having completed the signing. FC Goa was in touch ever since last season was over and it was a move both of us wanted. Last season, I grew to appreciate the kind of football they play and I really wanted to be part of the team. And that was a feeling that was reciprocated. I can’t wait to get started.”
FC Goa’s Director of Football, Ravi Puskar said, “We’re pleased to bring Dylan on board. He was a very instrumental player in NorthEast United’s campaign last year and he will be a good fit in our system as well. His knowledge, experience of the league is an added benefit and we expect him to settle into the team in no time.”
The 27-year old center-back played 21 matches for NorthEast United in the previous season and played a key role in helping the Highlanders finish in third place in the regular season. The Australian played 4 seasons in the A-League as he represented Wellington Phoenix (3 seasons) and the Central Coast Mariners.
Fox will look to deliver his best for FC Goa and do a good job for the club in the eighth season. The upcoming season will begin on 20th November in Goa.
