The Hero Indian Super League 2022-23 will welcome the fans in the stadium in the upcoming edition of the league. The tournament had been deprived of the crowd due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the last two seasons. Kerala Blasters FC midfielder Arian Luna expressed his joy on the fans getting back into action.
Luna feels the sound coming from the packed gallery will set fire in the veins of the players and thus it will push them to give their best to their respective clubs.
Luna had scored six goals and provided seven assists, which was the highest for the club, in the previous edition of the tournament, and thus he had played an instrumental role in taking the Tuskers to the final of the season.
Luna revealed that the goal of the entire team will be to win the upcoming Hero ISL title and go one step higher than what they managed in the last edition.
“We enter the field for the Hero ISL 2022-2023 season with the dream of winning the title. What was lost last season must be gained this time. For the hope the fans and management have placed in the club, we just need to deliver a good result. The entire team is on a journey to achieve that goal,” Luna told Samayam.
The Uruguyan went on to add that it was great to form a partnership with Sahal Abdul Samad in the midfield for Kerala Blasters FC in the previous edition and they will look to continue the same.
“It was a great experience to be able to form a partnership with Sahal Abdul Samad in the midfield last season. The success of the last season was because the alliances suggested by the coach could be implemented on the field. It was a great combination with Sahal Abdul Samad,” he added.
Kerala Blasters FC will kick off their ISL 2022-23 campaign against Emami East Bengal in the season’s curtain raiser on October 7 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi.
