Hockey India has decided to put more structural grade levels in place for the official’s of the Hockey India tournament to improve the standards of officiating.
The Hockey India made the registration of tournament officials, including Technical Delegates, Umpire Managers, Judges, and Technical Officials.
The Judges and Umpires will be segregated into three grades, Hockey India Grade 1, Hockey India Grade 2 and Hockey India Grade 3 as the grading will be done out of 100 [Percentage wise] as the emphasis will be based on performance from the all-local tournament, Fitness test results, and the online test results.
Also, the appointment of officials for domestic matches all over India will be conducted based on the updated gradation of officials. Therefore if any Umpire or officials who perform excellently well in performance results, test fitness, and the online test will join the India grade 1.
Hockey India President Mohd Mushtaque Ahmad revealed that adding more structure gradation of hockey India tournament officials will go a long way to access the performance of every registered Hockey India tournament officials. ” this will make all officials try their possible best to partake in the Hockey India Grade 1 category and it will also encourage a healthy competition which will in return help to raise the standard of officiating in the country ” he said
