USA’s superstar LeBron James has claimed that he could get a podium finish in two and field events at the Olympics if he prepares for more than six months. James, 39, is one of the fittest players in the world and feels he can get a medal for Team USA in the long and high jump.
Meanwhile, Team USA won their fifth consecutive gold medal in Basketball at the Paris Olympics after beating hosts France by 98-87 in the final. James averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists on 66% shooting in the Olympics and thus played an instrumental role in taking his team to glory.
LeBron James was named Olympic MVP after scoring 14 points with six rebounds and 10 assists in the summit clash. The veteran was sensational for the USA after the States won their 17th Gold medal at the Games.
“Compete in, like, how much time are you going to give me?” LeBron said on the Shot. “Maybe the long jump. I think I could do the long jump, maybe, or the high jump. If you give me some time. I need about six months, eight months, or whatever, preparation to get to that.”
Revealing his competitive side, James said, “Yeah, I’m a only-podium guy,” when asked about his medal hopes.
James is not known to give up and there is no doubt that he can compete at the top level in other sports. The veteran has performed consistently in the NBA and he is always hungry for more success.
