Golden State Warriors talisman Steph Curry is on a roll. Curry has been shooting in the beast mode and the team’s head coach Steve Kerr is full of praise for the linchpin. In the last nine matches, Curry has top-scored for GSW and his numbers are unbelievable.
37, 41, 32, 38, 53, 42, 33, 47, 49 – these are the insane numbers that Curry has produced in the last nine matches. In these last nine matches, GSW has won six as Curry has single-handedly destroyed the opposition. Curry was at his best against the Philadelphia 76ers as he scored 49 points on Monday night to take GSW to a win by 107-96.
Meanwhile, Curry currently has 21 career games in which he has scored 10 or more three-point shots. The second after Curry is his teammate, Klay Thompson, who has scored five.
GSW head coach Steve Kerr was delighted after Curry’s another heroic performance and compared his streak to players like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. Kerr believes Curry’s recent form is on another level and this is the best he has ever seen anybody shot in the NBA.
“Raymond keeps me up to date on all that stuff. I understand that’s 21 career games with 10 or more threes. And Klay is second with 5, and Steph’s had 4 in the last five nights. Mind-boggling stuff…”
“Not from a shooting standpoint. I’ve seen Kobe Bryant early in his career have a stretch where he went nuts. And obviously, Michael Jordan had some stretches where he just scored like crazy. But obviously, nobody has ever shot the ball like this in the history of the game. And even by Steph’s own lofty standards, this is above and beyond.”
Curry will aim to continue his dream run and keep delivering for his team. Curry has been a lone warrior for the team and he is carrying the team on his shoulders. GSW currently has a 29-29 record and they will next face Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.
