2016 IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad will square off against new entrant Lucknow Super Giants at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on Monday.
SRH had a poor start to their campaign as they lost by a huge margin of 61 runs against Rajasthan Royals whereas Lucknow Super Giants won their previous match against Chennai Super Kings and it would have given them a lot of confidence.
We take a look at Picks for the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad. We will look at head-to-head records, stats, and players to look out for in the upcoming match.
SRH have a lot to improve on as they were not even competitive against Rajasthan Royals. The bowlers conceded 210 runs whereas SRH could only manage 149 runs in the run-chase. Thus, the players will need to come up with better performances.
On the other hand, LSG batters have shown good form and the young players are grabbing their opportunities as Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni have been superb for them. Badoni has been a shining light for LSG so far in the tournament. But still, LSG would want better performances with the ball in the upcoming matches as they had conceded 210 runs against CSK.
Head to Head: This will be the first time these two teams will take on each other in the IPL.
Players to look out for: KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Ravi Bishnoi, and Avesh Khan will be the crucial players for Lucknow Super Giants.
Kane Williamson, Washington Sundar, Aiden Markram, T Natarajan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will hold the key for SRH.
