IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians, Game 16 – Match Prediction

Two teams who play in blue – Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians – have got off to a rotten start in IPL 2023. The Capitals have lost all of their three matches whereas Mumbai has lost both of their two matches so far. Thus, it will be a crucial fixture for both of these teams to get on the board in the points table.

Both teams will take on each at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. In their last home match against Gujarat Titans, we had seen an uncharacteristic Delhi pitch, which had a tinge of green grass and thus it offered help for the seamers.

It will be interesting to note what the track will have in store for us. Not only Delhi has suffered three losses, but also the margin of losses has taken a toll on their Net Run Rate as they are struggling at the bottom of the standings. The batting unit has disappointed and they will need to turn a corner before its too late in the season.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians find themselves in a similar boat. Their middle order has failed to deliver the goods whereas the bowling looked lackluster without the services of Jofra Archer in the previous game against CSK.

Both teams will know that they haven’t played up to their potential so far and they will be looking to come up with a complete show.

Match Prediction: Delhi Capitals will enter the contest as favorites against Mumbai Indians as they will be playing in their own conditions.
